Dr Daniel Tait
Paediatric Endocrinologist / Paediatrician
Dr Daniel Tait is happy to provide Paediatric Endocrine and Medical consultations at Seaside Paediatrics.
Dan commenced his career in health in 2001. After graduating with first class honours from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Dan established Kaizen Exercise Science and Rehabilitation Centre on the NSW Mid North Coast. At Kaizen, Dan observed the clinical strengths of exercise prescription across a range of patients for athletic performance, cardiac rehabilitation, and metabolic disease. Ultimately, his enthusiasm for physiology deepened and a decision to pursue Medicine was made. Dan was accepted into the post-graduate Medicine degree at the University of Sydney in 2004. Upon graduation from USYD in 2007, Dan spent his internship and residency years at St George Hospital in Sydney. During paediatric rotation as a senior resident, Dan encountered the patients, families, colleagues, and medical specialty that all contributed to his desire to specialise in Paediatrics. He was selected for the RACP Paediatric training program in 2011.
From 2011 to 2018, Dan completed his specialist training in General Paediatrics and sub-specialist training in Paediatric Endocrinology across both the Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital, Westmead. Since 2018, Dan has practiced as a dual trained General Paediatrician and Paediatric Endocrinologist with St George Hospital and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. He is also a senior conjoint lecturer with the University of Wollongong (School of Medicine).
Dan is also a father and husband, enjoying adventures with his young family. Still relatively new to the South Coast, he appreciates every opportunity to rediscover kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, camping and bushwalks.
