Dr Melinda Glover

Paediatrician

Dr Melinda Glover is excited to be starting with the team at Seaside Paediatrics. Dr Glover was born and raised in the Illawarra and is looking forward to returning to her home to help children and their families reach their health, developmental and behavioural goals. Dr Glover completed her medical training at the University of Wollongong, graduating on the Dean's Merit List in 2010. Following this, she completed her Paediatric training at Sydney Children's Health Network including a year at Wollongong Hospital. Her training has included a Neurology Fellowship at the Sydney Children's Hospital which led her to develop a keen interest in the management of childhood neurological conditions such as epilepsy, headaches and functional neurological disorders. She continues to apply this knowledge and experience as her work as a General Paediatrician. In addition, she is passionate about continuing education and has completed a Diploma of Tropical Medicine with the London School of Tropical Medicine which involved studying in East Africa as well as a Master's of Public Health from the University of NSW.

More recently, Dr Glover worked as a Consultant Paediatrician at Box Hill Hospital in Victoria managing acute paediatric presentations. She has experience in working in the private sector managing developmental concerns, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has experience in providing care to patients with common childhood medical conditions such as asthma and eczema. She continues to provide an outreach clinic in the rural community of Tamworth due to the significant shortages of General Paediatricians in this area.

Dr Glover thrives on the variety and challenges that General Paediatrics provides. She provides care from patients of all ages, from neonates to adolescents. She looks forward to bringing her experience to help her local community. When Dr Glover is not working you will find her with her family, at the beach with her beautiful Golden Retriever, Leafy.
